“What difference, AT THIS POINT, does it make?”

Republicans keep misquoting Hillary Clinton.

In addition, Hillary Clinton was referring to what difference does it make what Ambassador Rice said on the Sunday morning talk shows. Hillary was not talking about what difference does it make that these four Americans died. Anyone with half a brain should understand that.

And guess what? Hillary Clinton is absolutely correct. Why were Republicans focusing on what Ambassador Rice said on a Sunday morning talk show?

Ambassador Rice told the American people exactly what the intelligence communities talking points said. These were the same talking points Congress received. Obviously the intelligence community got it wrong, but that doesn’t mean the Obama Administration lied, it simply means the intelligence community got it wrong.

Hillary’s point was that at this point, what difference does it make what Ambassador Rice said on a Sunday morning talk show? We know now the intelligence community got it wrong, but the Administration did not lie. The Administration simply told the American people the same talking points Congress received from the intelligence community.

Also —

The reason Republicans are politicizing Benghazi is because that is the only thing they can use against Hillary Clinton. But let us remember:

1. More Americans died from Embassy attacks during Bush’s Administration
2. The non-partisan Accountability
Review Board did NOT find Hillary responsible for what happened in Benghazi
3. We have had numerous Accountability Review Boards throughout our history because security overseas is never 100%
4. Hillary implemented all of the recommendations the Accountability Review Board set forth
5. The biggest security failure, 9/11, happened under a Republican Administration
6. Republicans cut millions in funding for “EMBASSY SECURITY”
The bottom line is: those who decide to pursue careers in diplomatic work know the risks. Obviously we try to do everything we can to make sure our Embassy’s are secure, but Embassy security is NEVER 100%.

Hillary Clinton was not found responsible for the Benghazi attacks according to the non-partasian Accountability Review Board, and she implemented all of their recommendations. This is not the first, nor the last, Embassy attack that will result in the death of American lives. Remember — we had more Americans die in Embassy attacks during Bush’s Administration.

It’s truly sickening that Republicans are playing politics with a tragedy like this. They must really be scared of Hillary in 2016.

American Life

Not only did corporations and the rich convince us to tax them less, which meant less revenue, but they lobbied for a low minimum wage and shipped all the high-paying manufacturing jobs to China, which basically meant more people would need government assistance, but we’d have less tax money to pay for this assistance due to low tax rates. What a scheme that is!

WHO ARE THE 47% THAT DON’T PAY INCOME TAX?
WHO ARE THE 47% THAT DON’T “CARE FOR THEIR LIVES”?
WHO ARE THE 47% THAT ARE “DEPENDENT” ON THE GOVERNMENT?
WHO ARE THE 47% THAT VIEW THEMSELVES AS “VICTIMS”?
ANSWER: VETERANS, SENIOR CITIZENS WHO HAVE PAID TAXES ALL THEIR LIVES, THOSE WHO WORK AND PAY INCOME TAX, AND THOSE WHO ARE IN POVERTY.

Veterans and senior citizens are apart of the 47% that do not pay the “income” tax but receive government benefits. According to Mitt Romney, veterans and senior citizens are “victims” that dependent on on the government, don’t take “personal responsibility,” or “care” for their lives. Let us remember that senior citizens paid taxes all their lives and veterans risked their lives for our country.
Who else is apart of the 47% that don’t pay income taxes? Americans who have jobs and pay the payroll tax, or those who are in poverty. This man is out of touch with reality!

I’ll never convince them [47% of Americans who either pay real estate tax, payroll tax, sales tax, or are retired] that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.

There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what…there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them…I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.

I haven’t spent the past 35 years in the trenches advocating for children, campaigning for universal health care, helping parents balance work and family, and fighting for women’s rights at home and around the world to see another Republican in the White House squander the promise of our country and the hopes of our people…Barack Obama began his career fighting for workers displaced by the global economy. He built his campaign on a fundamental belief that change in this country must start from the ground up, not the top down. He knows government must be about “We the people” not “We the favored few

What I would say to any Republican that blames Obama:

Most of the policies that are still accumulating debt under Obama’s administration BEGAN under Bush (tax cuts for the rich, war, etc.). How can you blame Obama for policies that were implemented before Obama even took office? What was Obama supposed to do, leave Iraq right when he took the oath of office? Obviously Obama was going to finish the Iraq War responsibly, even though war costs would be included under his Administration’s debt total. But the point is, a large majority of Obama’s debt is either from policies that began under Bush (war, tax cuts for the rich, etc.) -OR- it is from trying to prevent an even worse recession that BEGAN under Bush. A fairer way would be to see which policies have added to our debt, and then look at which President implemented those policies. The point is, polices can begin under one administration, and then carry over into another administration (ie: two wars, tax cuts for the wealthy, etc.) Oh and Obama is spending money on stimulus packages meant to prevent our country from going into an even deeper recession. I’m all for Obama spending money on stimulus packages and other policies to prevent an even worse recession. What’s funny is that Bush’s debt causing policies were of war and tax cuts for the rich, while Obama is spending money trying to clean up the economic mess Bush left us with. See the difference in priorities?

Furthermore, Republicans won’t let Obama pay for his policies because they actually believe cutting taxes for the rich helps us (even though all the rich do is either create jobs overseas, or they hire American citizens at low wages with little to no benefits). Trickle down economics is a scam, and it sucks you’ve bought into voting against your own best interests and defending the rich. But thanks for launching class warfare against the American middle class and destroying it. The top 1% is laughing all the way to the bank with all the subsidies, loop holes, tax breaks, and other GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS we give them, while the rest of us struggle and are called a culture of “dependency” (even though corporations receive more government welfare, assistance and, money than the poor). Ironically, it is the poor who actually need the help considering how much the top 1% has legally stolen from us by buying our political system and changing the laws to benefit their interests.

Why are you guys so anti-dictators? Imagine if America was a dictatorship. You could let 1 percent of the people have all the nation’s wealth. You could help your rich friends get richer by cutting their taxes and bailing them out when they gamble and lose. You could ignore the needs of the poor for health care and education. Your media would appear free, but would secretly be controlled by one person and his family. You could wiretap phones. You could torture foreign prisoners. You could have rigged elections. You could lie about why you go to war. You could fill your prisons with one particular racial group and no one would complain. You could use the media to scare the people into supporting policies that are against their interests.

He’d ask the middle class to pay more in taxes so that he could give another $250,000 tax cut to people making more than $3 million a year.

MITT ROMNEY IS NOT THE SOLUTION. HE IS THE PROBLEM.

Let’s see…Romney shipped jobs overseas, doesn’t support stimulus packages that help rebuild our economy, hid millions of dollars in overseas accounts to avoid paying American taxes, won’t release more than two years of tax returns, made a fool of himself overseas, and wants the middle class to pay more taxes so the rich can continue paying less so they can create more jobs in China. MITT ROMNEY IS NOT THE SOLUTION. HE IS THE PROBLEM.

I, for one, do not want Bush Jr. back in the White House. OBAMA 2016!
